TrellisWare Technologies, Inc. is developing advanced communication systems for use in various military and commercial applications. 

 

JOB FUNCTION:  This position is responsible for supporting the financial management of several projects ranging from $50k to $5M in size. Responsibilities include supporting the Program Management Office (PMO) staff in financial monitoring and control, financial reporting and program close-out. Additionally, the incumbent will support pricing initiatives for proposal development efforts.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist Program Managers, Project Engineers, and Product and Business Development teams to report on actuals and manage projects/programs to budget
  • Help track progress against budget, and assist in resource planning
  • Act as conduit between Business Unit leads, Business Development, Product Support Managers, Finance, Engineering and the PMO
  • Consolidate and coordinate PMO inputs to finance in support of quarterly revenue forecasting, monthly Estimates To Complete (ETC) and accruals to include subcontractors, etc.
  • Perform system administration activities to maintain the Deltek Program Management Tool
  • Aid in developing presentations and reports to support internal management reviews as well as external customer program reviews
  • Participate in proposal development process, coordinate Basis of Estimate (BOE) development and perform pricing duties to support proposal cost volumes
  • Performs other duties as assigned

     

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor degree majoring in business, finance, or economics preferred. Associates degree or related work experience acceptable
  • Minimum three years' experience working in a financial environment
  • Intermediate Excel skills including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc. is required
  • Working knowledge of ProPricer is required
  • Working knowledge of Deltek Program Management Tool is preferred
  • Strong financial acumen and experience with government/DOD programs and contracting is desired

  • Ability to aid in preparation of presentations and documentation to support management of individual program execution status and risks on a regular basis as well as opportunities for increased efficiency
  • Ability to aid in establishing program tripwires and metrics to support the PMO in managing programs within cost constraints
  • Ability to appropriately handle proprietary and sensitive information
  • Demonstrates high level of common sense to know the most efficient methods to deliver, be proactive, and is task oriented and results driven
  • Demonstrates initiative and interacts with a variety of engineering, finance, business development, legal, contracts and product support teams
  • Demonstrates strong documentation skills and proficient with MS Office applications, including MS Excel (required), MS Project (desired)
  • Demonstrates analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrates strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be flexible in schedule to accommodate tight deadlines for proposal support
